make out freak out

tonight was the first night i think my 10 year old son heard dave and i making out. dave has an early call in the morning so i ran in, before i was ready for bed, to have a quick “snuggle” before he fell asleep. my son was getting in bed at the same time. as soon as we were done “snuggling”, i heard a paper turn in a book through the now apparently crazy thin wall. i was mortified. i straightened my skirt and walked directly into charlie’s room and said, “dad just did 100 sit ups, can you believe it?” charlie said, “oh, that’s what that noise was?”  and kept reading his book.
i don’t mean to pat myself on the back, but that was some quick thinking.
but more importantly i need to time things better. i learn something new every day.
